Subject: Wayward Congressman, plus Legislative concerns

Dear Congressman Boehner;

I am a constituent in Florida's 15th Congressional District under Rep. Dennis A. Ross, and I am writing to you to appeal regarding some very bizarre behaviour of your charge. I realise you get tons of email and don't know me from Adam's Housecat, so I owe you an introduction. I am a “very conservative” Republican activist, who has had a hand in many “very big” ventures:

(a) I ran for Florida House of Representatives in 2008.
(b) My case before Florida's Supreme Court nearly won on behalf of Theresa 'Terri' Schiavo, as her next friend, doing better than either former Gov. Jeb Bush, or even her own blood family. [[See e.g. below, for the APPENDIX: “About the writer” to verify these tall claims]]
(c) I am a double major with honours from FSU, and was valedictorian at the trade school I attended prior.
(d) I am a Christian first, and a Republican or a Conservative second: First things first.

I feel that Mr. Ross is giving his constituents neither proper respect nor representation that is truly deserved. Below, please find a short list of our grievances:

      1. Thanks

      2. Cyber-bullying and Redress & Free Speech issues

      3. 'Double-Standards' Hypocrite

      4. Not keeping his word

      5. Voting Record

((1)) THANKS To begin with, I'm a Christian “first” (and a 'Conservative' second), and so I must be **honest** and give “credit” where credit is due: In all fairness, Dennis is not totally 'Liberal': [Examples of bills that he sponsored or cosponsored, which are 'Conservative' in fiscal, morally (pro-life), constitutional, or immigration areas]

* Ross is also not snide to his political enemies –and others –in their time of need: “Rep. Gabrielle Giffords on the floor for the first time. What a strong lady and an incredible sign of strength. God Bless her.” (4:06 PM - 1 Aug 11) and “Everyone please pray for Rep. Giffords and her family.” (12:06 PM - 8 Jan 11) and “My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the Connecticut school shooting and their families.” (December 14, 2012) [Sources below]

* (4:06 PM - 1 Aug 11)

* (12:06 PM - 8 Jan 11)

* (December 14, 2012)

However, if you're a Christian, then you will know for a fact that The Lord does NOT hear the prayers of the wicked: “9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination” and “31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” Holy Bible, KJV: Proverbs 28:9 and John 9:31 (Yes, I'll mix politics and religion, because JESUS' religion is true.) Mr. Ross has been VERY “wicked” on a vast array of fronts, and I wonder at his motives, and whether Almighty God will hear ANY of his prayers. Observe:

((2)) CYBER-BULLYING and REDRESS & FREE SPEECH Issues There have been a LOT of complaints of Ross kicking them off ALL his social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) not for causing trouble, but rather for merely disagreeing. Proof of these claims is documented below: (GoDaddy) (HostGator)

UPDATE: (Thr. 24 Jan. 2013) -- There have been some new developments: Ross' office has unblocked me, and he seems OK with me posting on his Facebook page. Oddly enough, a letter to the editor of a local paper printed, critical of his blocking/banning of many people on his social networks, but Ross' office could not have been reacting to this letter, because it printed about 12 hours AFTER they unblocked me. See the 'Twittergate' links above for more details. In short, Ross' staff's unblocking of me was a genuine, honest action, not a 'reaction' to news media pressure, which had not manifested until about 12 hours *after* their action. -- End of update.

UPDATE: (Thr. 17 July 2014) -- It is also worth noting that Rep. Ross has allowed me way more than my fair share of questions in many, probably most, of all his subsequent Town Hall Meetings, be they in person _or_ be they Tele-THM's via the telephone. Also, when meeting him in person at one THM, for the first time I had seen him in person in years, he remembered me by name, was repspectful, and has always shown the highest regard for me, whether anyone in the news media was looking or not. Therefore, it all adds up to convince me: I am sure that Dennis and his staff, though human, have the highest honour and moral integrity. -- End of update.

Now, it is not morally “right” for him to do this for his “personal” Facebook, for example, and I'd defend him here, but these are his “public” or “Congressional” social media, and this is patently illegal, and in violation of both the REDRESS and FREE SPEECH clauses of the First Amendment. (Also, it is morally “wrong”: There ARE moral rights and wrongs, are there not?)

Note also, Congressman Boehner, that is is not “just Gordon.” If it were, we might give your Congressman the benefit of the doubt, but when **everyone** is saying the same thing, and Ross is saying differently, who do you think I will believe? Also, you might fool yourself, but you won't fool me here: I was there, and I know that I said nothing harassing, threatening, spammy, or vulgar to Ross or others. Everyone (but Ross) thinks his behaviour is downright bizarre and/or quite evil (and certainly not representing anyone but a few very 'rich' contributors, who obviously buy his ear; I document that right below in the next “bullet point”).

((3)) 'DOUBLE-STANDARDS' HYPOCRITERoss is a hypocrite, to put in bluntly: He thinks it's alright that he and his rich banker, congressional, and higher education buddies can all be allowed to “defend themselves” by filing bankruptcy, if they are under financial attack. Why, even wall street bankers, and all his rich contributors, hommies, and peeps, and even Donald Trump – can and do –file for bankruptcy very often, and usually for HUGE SUM$! Observe: “Donald Trump's Companies Filed for Bankruptcy 4 Times” By AMY BINGHAM (@Amy_Bingham), April 21, 2011, ABC News: However, can I prove that point here? Well, let's take a look at (GoDaddy) or (HostGator). Here, you can clearly see that Dennis despises students, and opposes any and all attempts to restore, at least, the “[a]llowing discharge in bankruptcy for student loans.”

Note that I said he 'despises' students, thereby calling into question his motives here. That is typically a “low blow,” but I come from the old school, John: I use a 'peculiar' method for ascertaining motives: I listen not to words, but rather actions. (His actions speak louder than words.) He steadfastly refuses to consider giving students the same “Standard Consumer Protections” for their loans.

Now, I'm not a “Free Handout” liberal, and I do not support people getting total “Loan Forgiveness,” as do liberals, but as I show in my online research, students are the latest victims of Predatory Lending, and the Higher Ed bubble will likely eclipse the Housing Bubble of 2012, as we failed to heed Bill Bennett's advice, and, instead, flood the market with easy loans—using tax dollars. (Bankruptcy, when it was available, mitigated this to some extent, as lenders were more careful when students were “armed” and able to “defend” themselves via bankruptcy proceedings.) For further reading: or: This cost$ taxpayer$ (who make and back these loan$). It also COST$ students: Colleges dishonestly raise tuition, simply because there is a flood of loan monies into the market.

((4)) NOT KEEPING HIS WORD Oh, and to rub salt into the wound, Dennis has refused to keep MANY promises he's made in the EDUCATION 'Issues' section of his official House page, as I clarify and document here, not the least of which is his promise to 'support' (his own words: take a look to verify) the ending of the Dept of Ed:

((5)) VOTING RECORD This leads up to my final (and quite frankly, a very damning) indictment:

Isn't Congressman Ross' voting record all that really all the counts?? Well, he has failed miserably here—and sold voters the pretense of being “Very Conservative,” which, as I shall show, is baseless canard:

FISCAL: While I admit Ross' continual drumbeat in the press (and in his social media) about “fiscal responsibility,” I am not ignorant to the fact that on FOUR of the SIX appropriations bills which have come before him, he voted 'YEA.' Since the yearly domestic & military appropriations bill literally **dwarf** all other spending bills, then his votes on these alone are really all that count.

Since we've continued to go deeper in debt, both before and since Ross' tenure, then any support for these bills is proof he is a Big-Spending LIBERAL, since the National Debt ONLY goes up due to spending.

Noting, of course, that he's supported 4 of the 6 bills in question (only voting 'no' in his very 1st appropriations vote and then again on this recent 'Fiscal Cliff' bill), then Ross is VERY liberal.

However, every since Clinton's administration, the Nat'l Debt has been climbing, no matter who is in control of each chamber (whether Republicans or Democrats). Therefore, strictly speaking, both parties are to blame for the approx. 16.1 TRILLION Dollar Debt: Either party, if they had simply tried, could have refused to pass each successive appropriations bill, and either they would have gotten support for a smaller appropriations bill, or, in the worst-case scenario, they would have simply refused to vote on the bill, shutting down the government. In either case, spending would have decreased, so ANY increase in spending happened ONLY because BOTH parties cooperated: Our party, the GOP, has control of the House, and the Dems have control of the Senate, and either party, had we really tried, could simply have said 'no.'

So, seeing the GOP is very much at fault, I wonder if you too are a big-spending liberal. (In fact, I have no earthy idea, John, why you could have supported the 'Fiscal Cliff' bill, with as much pork was in it -and no substantial spending cuts! Why, even liberal Dennis A. Ross, my favourite R.I.N.O., voted against it. What, in God's name –may I ask –were you thinking, to support such a pork-laden bill?)

For proof of my claims on Ross' “let's keep spending more” votes and the resulting climbing National Debt, see the bottom half of said press release:

* (GoDaddy)

* (HostGator)

In conclusion, Representative Boehner, Dennis has done a LOT of off-centre and frankly bizarre things: See again #1—5, above, OK? So, while I wonder if I have enough political “mojo” to get a fair hearing before you, my representative at the top of the House of Representatives, yet, as in the Schiavo case, I am as naïve as Forest Gump, and will simply 'have faith and believe' that you will be impartial and unbiased and not prejudiced against me, the little guy, who can not make HUGE campaign CONTRIBUTION$.

Ross (and some of his duped & misguided followers) is a loose canon—in many diverse areas, and I hope you can help get him back in line (both in his voting and in his mistreatment/bullying issues), so that I don't have to ask the news media for help in firing him, and embarrassing our already-beleaguered GOP. Thank you for any help, clarification, or assistance you can afford us. Otherwise, there will be continued oppression on the poor—and an economy crash, where we follow “Rome Fell” or the “Greece” economic collapse patterns.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to visit my web sites, call, write, visit, or even email. Thank you for your time here, John.

With kind regards, I am,

((b)) More relevant to show I'm not just a dumb 'Country Bumpkin,' but perhaps, a true heavyweight Conservative, is my recent court case: I almost won in court on the 'pro-life' side, for Theresa 'Terri' Schiavo. I did better than even Jeb Bush before the same panel of judges, and my 4-3 split decision (43% of my panel) was better even than Schiavo's own blood family (who picked up only 33% of their Federal panel) >>

[2] In Re: JEB BUSH, GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA, ET AL. v. MICHAEL SCHIAVO, GUARDIAN: THERESA SCHIAVO, No. SC04-925 (Fla. Oct.21, 2004), denied 7-0 on rehearing.

Note: This was a 2-fold miracle: #1: I am not a lawyer. – More miraculous is #2: No one in their right mind would take a 'Landmark' case like this, pro se—like me. (In fact, no one in their 'wrong' mind would: I have no idea why I was so naïve as to think I would be given a 'fair shake' by the Judiciary!)

[4] You may do a “Yahoo!” or “Google” search of me and Terri Schiavo to verify this; while the mainstream liberal news media didn't give me much coverage, both the court's online dockets, as well as many small pro-life blogs did.

((c)) I graduated from The Florida State University with a double major, with honours, in Biological and Chemical Sciences, and, prior to that, I graduated as valedictorian from United Electronics Institute (now d/b/a/ Florida Metropolitan University). I can not prove this, as I don't as yet have my transcripts and degrees posted online, but trust me, I have the “college debt” to prove it. Plus, I have many great memories –and friends –from FSU.

((d)) Last, but not least, I am a Christian, as I name Jesus as not my Saviour and Christ, but also Lord and King –and my only reliable role model and example: John 13:15; 1st Peter 2:21; John 3:16. We humans are in dire need of honourable role models. Lastly, I can't create life. (Can you?) Even with all my biology education, our technology, DNA from dead dinosaurs, DNA from live toad frogs, and a host of other things, whereby we “cheat,” humans can NOT create life de novo, and so how could it have come about “by itself?” LOL – So, two things are evident: 1: I realise that I am not God; and 2: There does exist a God, with all life as proof. Let me close on a humourous note, with this “possibly true” tale:

“One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man and after the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this, let's say we have a man making contest." To which the scientist replied, "OK, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God just looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"”
